25 November International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women Panel

We attended the "Fight Against Violence" Panel held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, hosted by our University's Hikmet Tolunay Vocational School, together with our college's assistant principals and students. In the panel organized by MAKÜ Women's Issues Research and Application Center (KASAUM), different aspects of violence and solutions were discussed. Panel chair Prof. Dr. Firdevs SAVİ ÇAKAR addressed methods of coping with violence; Prof. Dr. Hülya YAZICI emphasized the individual and societal dimensions of violence with her presentation "The Language of Violence." Expert Psychological Counselor Umut AYDOĞDU discussed family dynamics in his speech titled "Causes and Consequences of Domestic Violence," while Dr. Lecturer Endam ÇETİNKAYA AK drew attention to types of violence becoming widespread among young people with her presentation "Dating Violence." We thank all our professors who contributed to the realization of this event, which raised awareness among participants and created social sensitivity.
