Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) hosted a colorful opening on June 11, 2026, at 09:30, where art, youth, and institutional vision came together. The event "Touches That Add Value to the Campus," which changed the face of the campus, was held with the intense participation of our University Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin DALGAR, School Director Dr. Faculty Member İlhan UYSAL, Project Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Fatıma TOKGÖZ GÜN, academics, and many students.
In the project brought to life under the coordination of Design Department Head Assoc. Prof. Fatıma TOKGÖZ GÜN, talented students of the Graphic Design Program, Aslı Rabia AKBAŞ, Göksu DÜZOVALI, Buse ADLI, Elif Naz ALTINGEYİK, and Efe Çağan GÜLER completed illustration works on the walls of the Vocational School as an extracurricular activity during the Spring semester. A short film of the works created on the walls of the Vocational School was also prepared by Animation department student Müzeyyen Sude KAYA. 
As a result of the long and meticulous efforts of the students, the main entrance walls of the school have transformed into a living art gallery.

The dynamic MAKÜ graffiti painted on the walls as part of the project, the visual promotions of the programs within the Vocational School, and the artistic drawings that keep alive the memory of our National Poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy, who gave our University its name, received great appreciation. In the morning event, which took place in a festive atmosphere beyond an official visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin DALGAR and School Director Dr. Faculty Member İlhan UYSAL examined the works one by one and received information about the details of the projects from the students and Project Coordinator and Design Department Head Assoc. Prof. Fatıma TOKGÖZ GÜN.
In this event, where student energy perfectly harmonized with formality, the artistic expression created by the youth brought a brand new breath to the Vocational School.
An Inspiring Legacy for Future Students
This work, which transformed ordinary walls into vibrant, speaking areas that strengthen the sense of belonging, once again proved how ambitious Bucak Emin Gülmez Technical Sciences Vocational School is not only in vocational training but also in social and artistic production. The works that emerged made campus life enjoyable for current academics and students while leaving a lasting, energetic, and inspiring mark for the new generation of students who will choose the school in the future.
These touches, which are at the very center of student flow and dynamism, will continue to engrave MAKÜ's innovative face on its walls. We extend our thanks to all students, academics, and administrative staff who contributed to the project.
